Accentuate
the Positive
Instead of focusing on what you’re giving up, think about all the
exciting, new foods you’re discovering. Many vegetarians find a whole
new world of flavors opens up to them once they do a little exploring.

Don't
Throw in the Towel
For some, becoming vegetarian is a snap
decision. For others, it’s a process with many steps along the way. Don’t
get frustrated if you aren’t able to make the transition to vegetarianism
overnight. Each compassionate decision you make sends a message to
those around you as well as to animal agribusiness that you don’t condone
animal abuse. Keep striving towards vegetarian eating . . . you are
making a difference!
Work Those Brain Cells
The more informed we are about animal issues, the more effectively we
can speak out for the voiceless.
There's
Power in Numbers
Meeting other like-minded people can help affirm your decision to stop
eating animals. Attending animal advocacy events, vegetarian society get-togethers,
and joining email listservs about vegetarian issues can be a great way
to meet other compassionate individuals.
